About this app

Oojao Image Editor is a powerful and free photo editor designed for Android. It supports cool effects, multiple projects/tabs and layers.

This app is ad-supported to keep it free, but ads are not annoying and can be quickly closed or temporarily turned off in Settings. And there are no ads while editing!

You can do all the usual canvas or free layer manipulation such as resize, crop, drawing, erase, draw shapes, bucket fill, select, copy, paste, delete, move, align, rotate, flip and more.

Adjust brightness, contrast and saturation with filters or apply effects such as sharpen, blur, bump, shadow and many more. Undo and redo are available, and you can also save a set of actions and presets to re-apply them later.

Save your work with layers so you can continue editing later.

once you get used to the UI it works splendid. supports layers and png output both a huge aid working on a phone. I don't have to switch to my pc for anything requiring layers. Adding on from my original review: Now that I've spent some more time with the app it truly is a fairly robust art program, especially for a phone app. If it had a magic wand/lasso it would be perfect. It's still 5 star but it's the one limitation I end up having to work around.

Hi, you can select layer and menu>Erase Area or menu>Fill area. What do you want to do?

Oojao is a fine app with useful features, but there's a fatal bug in it that you will only notice if you really get into using it. Occasionally all your edited pictures vanish! There are 3 save options, and one of them is a separate save&close button on the buttom of the screen. If you use it creates a "/pictures" folder and there's no guarantee that next time you look for those pictures will be there. This has happened to me 3 times.

I'll be working on a picture, it will save. I can see the results from another app. But at times, working on a picture it just doesn't save after it has saved before and this is saving change to it looking at the adjustments in the other app. Then going back and making more changes and check it again. Also seem less capable than it is on my older Samsung S models. It can't keep up with me on my S23 Ultra. I do use this app allot. I have been using it to make textures for Minecraft.

Do you save by pressing Gallery or Choose Location? How do you know it did not save?
